Bozlu Art Project, which has launched exhibitions and events widely acclaimed in the world of art in it\u2019s gallery in Ni\u015fanta\u015f\u0131 since it was founded in 2013, opened the doors of its art center in \u015ei\u015fli for the art lovers on March 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The historical Mongeri Building, which is one of the important examples of the Republican Era 1st National Architecture Movement, has been transformed into an art center that shall host the events held by Bozlu Art Project, by the end of a preparation process that lasted nearly two years. Bozlu Art Project, which has been sharing its vision with the art lovers via exhibitions, artist speeches, documentaries, cataloging and archiving studies it has held its art gallery in Ni\u015fanta\u015f\u0131 since 2013, opens the doors of its art center in \u015ei\u015fli for the art lovers with a group exhibition compiled from Dr. \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Bozluol\u00e7ay Collection and Bozlu Art Project artists. Following the opening exhibition, Bozlu Art Project \u015ei\u015fli is going to host activities such as libraries, archives, exhibitions, publishing house and art seminars.<\/p>\n

The Mongeri Binas\u0131 in \u015ei\u015fli, which was used as the headquarters of Bozlu Holding until 2015, is a historical building built by the famous Italian architect Giulio Mongeri by mid 1920s on a land of 1,500 square meters. The Mongeri Building, which carries traces of characteristic architectural elements special to the Classical Ottoman architecture, is an authentic building that reflects the spirit of the era with its ceramic panels livening up the building and its sharp arches. The historical building, which will start to host the art events of Bozlu Art Project with its appearance almost resembling an oasis among the plazas and apartments surrounding it today, presents an extraordinary atmosphere that blends architecture and modern art for the art lovers.\u00a0 Bozlu Art Project \u015ei\u015fli is going to host researchers and art lovers in its library comprising more than 10,000 publications, exhibition halls reserved for permanent and fixed-term exhibitions, and seminar halls where art speeches shall be made.<\/p>\n

The opening exhibition of Bozlu Art Project \u015ei\u015fli comprises a selection compiled from Dr. \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Bozluol\u00e7ay Collection, which started to be collected by the end of the 70s, and Bozlu Art Project artists. In the group exhibition comprising significant figures of the modern and contemporary Turkish art, the viewers will have a chance to view in a wide historical perspective the artworks of artists from different generations such as Adnan \u00c7oker, Abdurrahman \u00d6ztoprak, G\u00fcng\u00f6r Taner, Mustafa Ata, Zekai Ormanc\u0131, Mehmet G\u00fclery\u00fcz, Komet, Utku Varl\u0131k, Nur Ko\u00e7ak, Koray Ari\u015f, Halil Akdeniz, Bedri Baykam, Balkan Naci \u0130slimyeli, Bubi, Server Demirta\u015f, Halil Alt\u0131ndere, Ekrem Yal\u00e7\u0131nda\u011f, Selma G\u00fcrb\u00fcz, Serhat Kiraz, Kaz\u0131m Karakaya, VolkanDiyaro\u011flu, Semih Zeki, Evren Erol, Ali Al\u0131\u015f\u0131r and \u00c7a\u011fatay Odaba\u015f. The selection, which is exhibited in the historical atmosphere of the Mongeri Building and which comprises various disciplines such as painting, sculpture, video art and photography, is divided into various sections within itself. In the hall reserved for the \u201cArtist Ateliers\u201d, which is one of the sections that attracts the most interest in Dr. \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Bozluol\u00e7ay Collection, materials used by many significant artists ranging from the classics to our day in their artistic creation process such as palettes, paint bags, brushes, aprons, gloves, hammers and paint tubes. In the collection, which is a unique example in this context in Turkey, it is possible to view materials used in the ateliers of the artists and identified by themselves, by many artists including \u015eevket Da\u011f, Fahrelnissa Zeid, Nejad Melih Devrim, M\u00fcbin Orhon, Mehmet G\u00fclery\u00fcz, Nur Ko\u00e7ak, Komet, Utku Varl\u0131k, Ne\u015f\u2019e Erdok, Seyhun Topuz and Bedri Baykam. Meanwhile in the section reserved for video art, the viewers will have a chance to view the video works of Halil Alt\u0131ndere titled \u201cPortrait of a Dealer\u201d and of Ali Al\u0131\u015f\u0131r titled \u201cMemory\u201d and the artworks of the Swiss artist Marck, who attracts attention with his video sculptures, titled \u201cDanger \u2013 Artist at Work\u201d, \u201cArtstudent\u201d and \u201cNeue Freiheit\u201d.<\/p>\n
